Marc Vella is a french musician and a nomadic pianist. Over the last 25 years he has travelled with his piano in around forty countries to celebrate humanity. Piano tuning is the act of making minute adjustments to the tensions of the strings of an acoustic piano to properly align the intervals between their tones so that the instrument is in tune. The Konso, also known as the Konzo, are a Cushitic-speaking ethnic group. Although the Konso people have many customs dating back hundreds of years, it is not uncommon for them to be seen wearing western clothing. The Omo Valley, situated in Africa’s Great Rift Valley, is home to an estimated 250,000 individuals of the Konso tribe.
