Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Carona. People are disguised for the carnival's celebrations. A laughing woman is dressed up as a St. Bernard dog with a swiss flag barrel on her chest. Serpentine streamers, food, plastic plates, aluminium cans and plastic bottle laid on the table. The St. Bernard or St Bernard is a breed of very large working dog from the western Alps in Switzerland, They were originally bred for rescue and famous for their iconic barrel. The breed has become famous through tales of alpine rescues, as well as for its enormous size. Carona is quarter of the city of Lugano and a former municipality in the district of Lugano. Carnival is a Western Christian festive season that occurs before the liturgical season of Lent. A serpentine streamer is a type of party accessory made out of long strips of paper, wound up in a roll. When thrown up in the air they create beautiful serpentines, and their motion through air is fun and aids in party cheerfulness. Serpentine streamers usually come in rolls that contain multiple strips. They have to be separated into smaller rolls before use. 4.02.2018 © 2018 Didier Ruef<br />
