Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Cureglia is a municipality in the district of Lugano. "Tiratori del Gaggio" society. Shooting range. Young shooters' course. The courses, whose organisation is delegated by the Federal Department of Defence, Civil Protection and Sport to the various local shooting societies, are open to young swiss people, boys and girls, from 15 to 20 years old. Girls and boys learn how to handle and fire with the assault rifle SG 550, also called Fass 90, used by the Swiss Army. Gabriel is 18 years old. The instructor, Stefano Reiser, draws with a black pen the area on Gabriel's glasses where the young man must look and focus when he shoots. The SG 550 is an assault rifle manufactured by Swiss Arms AG (formerly Schweizerische Industrie Gesellschaft) of Neuhausen, Switzerland. "SG" is an abbreviation for Sturmgewehr, or "assault rifle". The rifle is known as the Fass 90 or Stgw 90. An assault rifle is a selective-fire rifle that uses an intermediate cartridge and a detachable magazine. 16.02.2019 © 2019 Didier Ruef
