Switzerland. Canton Ticino. Coldrerio. Vintage season by Enrico Trapletti, a wine grower. The Nebiolo stalk bears vigorous hanging foliage. Considered native to Piedmont, this ancient grape has been documented since the 1300s. Along with Sangiovese, it represents the most noble Italian grape. It produces the most uniquely perfumed and powerful reds. The bunches of grapes are large, loose, often winged, with small round grapes that are blue, tending towards black.
